Reiner Consulting and Associates (June 1999- Present) Practice Management Consultant Responsibilities include providing practice management expertise for practicing physicians. Provide assistance with coding, billing, reimbursement, contract evaluation, accounts receivable management, compliance training, overhead expense, compliance, fee schedule analysis, recruitment and retention, workflow, and physician practice start-up.
Northwest Pediatrics and Adolescents (October 2000-Present) Administrator Provide part time assistance as a contract administrator for a five-physician pediatric group. Duties include contract negotiation, budget analysis, expense reduction, billing enhancement, credentialing, staffing, workflow, coding, compliance, and market outreach.
Central Texas Kidney Associates (July, 1999 – September 2000) Administrator Provide part time assistance as a contract administrator for a five-physician nephrology group. Duties include developing market outreach and strategic planning, analyzing revenue and expense reports, developing and maintaining compliance with insurance carriers, review collections and reports, maintaining overhead expense ratios.
Texas Medical Association (January, 1998 – May, 1999) Assistant Director, Health Care Financing Department Responsibilities included policy issues effecting physician members. Identified coding, billing, and reimbursement concerns through a hassle factor program developed through the department. Prepared and conducted meetings with managed care and government regulated plans to discuss policy issues of behalf of physician members. In addition, participated in developing seminars for physicians and office staff as well as conducting these seminars. Conducted individualized consultations with practices in conjunction with county medical societies across the state.
Texas Medical Association (January, 1995 – December, 1997) Manager Payer Relations, Health Care Financing Department Responsibilities included providing individualized consultations for physician practices. Assisted groups with coding, billing and reimbursement issues through a hassle factor program developed through the department. Assisted in drafting articles for TMA publications. In addition, assisted other departments in outcomes studies for participating physicians. Developed and conducted hassle factor meetings with insurance carriers.
Texas Medical Association (February, 1992 – December, 1994) Claims Coding Specialist, Health Care Financing Department Assisted member physicians with coding, billing, and reimbursement concerns. Monitored hassle factor logs submitted by members and entered information into database for statistical analysis.
Texas Medical Association (July, 1989 – January, 1992) Claims Adjuster, Texas Medical Association Insurance Trust Processed medical claims for physicians and their staff. Consistently held an average of 95% or better accuracy in processing these medical claims.
